The music of composer/musician Anna Sagona can be described as ambient, hypnotic and minimalist, with influences drawn from Classical, Contemporary, Celtic and Indie music with a dash of Dance and World Music rhythms, interwoven in such a way as to bring serenity to even the most frantic world.

The daughter of a Sicilian Father and Italian mother, she has always been passionate about music and her earliest memories are of her heart dancing at the sound of the Mediterranean melodies she was surrounded by.

At the age of eight years old she began taking Piano lessons. Not content with that, at the age of thirteen she then also started to take Flute lessons, eventually achieving Grade 8 Royal Schools of Music in both instruments, playing in regional orchestras and ensembles.

With wide-ranging tastes in music she went on to experiment with a variety of genres from folk and rock to improvisational jazz, mainly as a Flautist with various bands.

A decisive moment for her came in the бо90s when she bought her first very basic keyboard, which was soon superseded by a Roland E-600 arranger keyboard and she still has to this day.
